Port Stephens Prepares for a Trail Running Spectacle as Trail Run Australia Tomaree Returns in May 2026

PORT STEPHENS, NSW – Get ready to experience an unparalleled adventure! The Port Stephens MultiSport Festival proudly announces the return of Trail Run Australia Tomaree in May 2026.

To celebrate, we are offering a one-day opening day special where entrants can register at half price!

The TRA32 Course

The Trail Run Australia TRA32 has elevated trail running to a new height with its stunning natural landscapes, diverse terrains, and technical trails. Picture 32km of your ultimate coastal trail running high – that’s what awaits you at the TRA32 Tomaree.

Discover the awe-inspiring Birubi Beach at sunrise, explore the Tomaree Coastal Walk where you’ll retrace ancient Worimi routes with each twist and turn revealing spectacular coastal vistas, running through lush headlands, rugged outcrops, and serene angophora forests.

Along the way, enjoy stunning ocean views and possibly spot migrating humpback and southern right whales. Experience the beauty of One Mile Beach, the majesty of Samurai Dunes and the lush bushland of Tomaree National Park before crossing Fingal Headland to the finish at Fingal Beach.

This is 32km of pure, unadulterated coastal trail running heaven featuring technical single tracks, rocky climbs, fast-flowing fire trails, and secluded beaches. Immerse yourself in the fresh coastal air and unrivalled views on this immersive coastal trail running experience.

If 32km of trail-running heaven isn’t quite your vibe, don’t worry — there’s a distance for every trail-running craving!
Take on the TRA21 Half Marathon, the TRA12.5, or the TRA6… and don’t forget to bring the little adventurers along for our FREE Mud Rats Kids Run to round out an unforgettable day on the trails.
